Why don't more sites have Bitcoin miners powered by user PCs running in the background?
I'm a complete novice when it comes to the beauty of Bitcoin, but I was reading a Reddit thread and someone mentioned a streaming site that had Bitcoin miners in the background. As far as I understand it (and I barely understand it) visitors CPUs are used to mine Bitcoin for the hosting website to help pay for streaming (on top of ads IIRC) This seems like a Fantastic idea, and I really want to know why more websites don't do this, if it's possible to do this and it its profitable to do this exclusively. Again, complete Bitcoin novice, so excuse me if I have something completely wrong.
